STUDENTS' FAQ
STUDENTS' FAQ
Q1. I am working on a research project that takes a
plastic part from design through production. Can you help?
Q2. I am working on a project that focuses on one of
the plastic molding methods. I have questions about this process. What is
the best way for me to get help from Matrix Plastics on this project?
ANSWER:
•
The Internet provides access to nearly unlimited resources through using
keywords in search engines. Consequently, Matrix Plastics' web site has
become what students hope is a one-stop-shop answer to their research
questions. Initially, we tried to cooperate. The volume of student inquiries
now makes such cooperation impossible.
•
Instead, we provide the following list of resources for students researching
plastic processing. Your best resource is a reference book called:
Plastics Engineering Handbook of the Society of the Plastics Industry, Inc.,
Fifth Edition. Michael L. Berins, Ed. Van Nostrand Reinhold, New York. 1991.
This book is the most comprehensive manual for plastics processing we
have found.
Also, check Modern Plastics Encyclopedia. This
is available on the Modern Plastics web site.
